What is Airbrush Foundation?

I've recently included airbrush foundation as a standard for anyone who would like it within the price of any bridal makeup i do. I believe that looking and feeling great on your wedding day is so important which is why i want my clients to enjoy this service and not pay extra because lets be honest, weddings are expensive enough and any savings are a bonus. Plus i get that amazing feeling when you look in the mirror and love your makeup look. A lot of the time when i say about airbrush foundation to clients i am faced with the same question of 'What is that?'. So, in short its foundation sprayed in a fine mist onto the skin using an airbrush gun instead of being applied with brushes, sponges, fingers or any other methods. The foundation is broken down into tiny particles which covers the skin lightly without clogging pores and allows the skin to breathe whilst giving it an all over flawless finish with excellent coverage. Benefits of airbrushing include; Flawless finish Natural looking Not heavy or cakey Full coverage that feels luxurious on the skin and is extremely lightweight Water resistant (great for brides as it will not come off with sweat, tears or humidity) No need for touch ups as it lasts all day Is great for all skin types Buildable coverage for those who like it a bit heavier

There are many companies offering airbrush products but i personally use Airbase. It was designed by an Oscar nominated makeup artist for professionals and is often used when using HDTV/Film aswell as at photoshoots and for special occasions. Airbase is a silicone based foundation. Silicone is a heat-resistant, non-stick and incredibly pliable compound which makes it a great choice for foundation products. Airbase also has added vitamins that nourish the skin. The first being Vitamin A. This ingredient is proven to improve elasticity of the skin that will help reduce fine lines. The second ingredient is Vitamin E. This is an anti-oxidant that will moisturise and repair helping to deactivate the free radicals that age the skin. More benefits of using a silicone foundation include its ability to be touched up for a few minutes after application unlike some water based ones. Once dried it stays put but for a very short time any errors are easy to correct so you can perfect your base. You can build up coverage as much as you like. Once its set just add another layer of foundation like any other with the added benefit of its forgiving nature. If thats not enough to win you over, have a look online and see the reviews makeup artists are giving it. Used in theatre, catwalk, TV and film it really will give you that feeling of stardom on your special day.
